Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Low-Voltage Drafter 1 to join our security business unit.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare 2D AutoCAD drawings for low-voltage systems, including floor plans, device layouts, riser diagrams, and details.
• Interpret architectural and engineering drawings to develop coordinated low-voltage documentation.
• Revise drawings based on redlines, field markups, and engineer input.
• Maintain drawing accuracy, file organization, and adherence to company drafting standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and senior drafters to resolve drawing issues.
• Assist with preparation of submittal packages, shop drawings, and record documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D drafting required).
• 0–2 years of drafting experience (internship or related coursework acceptable).
• Ability to read and understand construction documents.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to accuracy.
• Willingness to learn and grow in low-voltage design and drafting.
• Strong communication skills and ability to take direction from senior team members.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to or familiarity with low-voltage systems (AV, security, fire alarm, intercom, nurse call, etc.).
• Experience with Bluebeam Revu or other markup/review tools.
• Basic knowledge of industry standards (BICSI, NFPA, IBC) is a plus.
• Associate degree, technical certificate, or relevant coursework in Drafting or Design Technology.

The hourly pay range for this position is $XX.XX–$YY.YY per hour.  The starting hourly pay will be determined based on qualifications, experience, education, skills, certifications, and internal equity. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.
