The Production Supervisor is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling production projects, activities, and resources in a strategic manner. The role involves effective supervision of personnel under their responsibility to achieve optimal levels of productivity, efficiency, and compliance with objectives and goals.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with established production processes and performance metrics.
- Manage all procedures under their supervision and ensure team members are knowledgeable and trained on them.
- Establish production line pace by verifying achievement of hourly targets.
- Ensure proper compliance with established procedures.
- Collaborate with the Quality and Engineering teams to improve and monitor processes, ensuring production line quality.
- Ensure the implementation of changes and/or improvements in the production line.
- Optimize processes with a focus on quality, scrap reduction, increased safety, and ergonomics.
- Effectively supervise human resources, materials, and production processes.
- Escalate employee needs and issues in a timely manner.
- Develop and maintain appropriate controls and reports to reduce operating costs and improve quality and cycle time.
Who You Are:
- Industrial Engineer or final-year university student
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Fluency in both Spanish and English is required.
- 3-5 years of warehouse experience, including receiving, finished goods management, inventory control, and FIFO stock rotation.
- 2-3 years of experience leading teams
Nice to Have:
- Technical knowledge of assembling and disassembling electronic equipment (cell phones)
- High skill level and dexterity in technical operational processes
- Basic knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14000 Quality Standards
- Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC)
- Knowledge and use of measurement instruments
- Knowledge of 5S methodology and Lean principles
