- Position: Respiratory Therapist
- Location: Orlando, FL
- Hours: Monday- Friday, 8 am- 5 pm. Weekends/On-call as determined by leadership
- Requirements: Licensed Respiratory Therapist (LRT/RCP) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
The Position:
- Uses analytical ability to perform initial patient assessments including physical, functional, social and environmental resource requirements and needs; Ensures communication and coordination of services /care among all clinical services
- Performs initial equipment set-up and patient/family/caregiver education
- Develops patient specific plans of care based on initial assessments to include problems, goals and interventions
- Reviews and revises care plans on an ongoing basis and ensure that all patients are followed according to that plan per PHS policy
- Ensures that all required documentation is completed accurately and within the time frames set forth in PHS policy
- Participates in care conferences and collaborates with all care team members internally and externally
- Participates in day-to-day trouble shooting; Performs all on-call activities, analyze problems, formulates solutions, and notifies manager on-call as needed
- Schedule all patient visits per PHS follow-up policy
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited respiratory program and/or nursing program
- Licensed Respiratory Therapist (LRT/RCP) by The National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- One year of pediatric experience as a Respiratory Therapist
Preferred Qualifications:
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Neonatal & Pediatric Specialist (NPS) certification
