The Hotel Security Officer ensures the safety and security of guests, employees, and property by monitoring hotel premises, responding to incidents, and enforcing policies. This role requires vigilance, professionalism, and strong problem-solving skills. The Security Officer plays a critical role in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment while protecting the hotel’s assets and reputation. Patrol hotel premises regularly, including guest floors, back-of-house areas, parking facilities, and public spaces.
Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and guest or employee incidents. Provide professional assistance to guests and staff in cases of accidents, theft, disturbances, or medical emergencies. Enforce hotel policies and procedures while maintaining a guest-focused, service-oriented approach. Prepare accurate incident and security reports for management review. Coordinate with local law enforcement, emergency responders, and fire departments when required.
Escort guests and staff when necessary for safety reasons. Support loss prevention initiatives and monitor access to restricted areas. Assist with crowd control during events, conferences, or high-occupancy periods. Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive information at all times. Assist in coverage of breaks for front desk or night audit employees Retrieve or park valet cars after hours as necessary. Drive hotel shuttle to transport guests as necessary.
