We are seeking an experienced Diesel Technician to join our Mackay team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with industry-leading products including MTU, Detroit Diesel and Allison Transmission systems while supporting customers across a range of industries.

As part of our professional service team, you will perform maintenance, diagnostics, repairs and field service activities, ensuring equipment operates safely, efficiently and reliably.

About the Role

Reporting to the On Highway Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

• Completing repair and maintenance work instructions to a high standard.
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs on diesel engines and associated equipment.
• Conducting pre-delivery testing and inspections.
• Completing accurate job reports and service documentation.
• Participating in field service activities as required.
• Providing proactive customer service and technical support.
• Working safely and complying with all HSE and quality requirements.
• Collaborating with the wider service team to deliver outstanding customer outcomes.

About You

To be successful, you will have:

• Trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working on diesel engines, power generation equipment or heavy vehicles.
• Knowledge of MTU, Detroit Diesel and/or Allison products (highly regarded).
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
