Summary/Objective
The Procurement & Warehouse Assistant supports day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, issuance, and inventory monitoring. The role ensures accurate documentation, proper handling of materials, and compliance with safety and housekeeping standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in receiving, inspecting, and storing materials.
- Verify deliveries against Purchase Orders and supporting documents.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages or discrepancies.
- Assist in material pickup and delivery as required.
- Operate warehouse tools and equipment safely.
- Record and update transactions in the Warehouse Inventory System (WIS).
- Assist in preparing and issuing materials with proper documentation.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety in the warehouse.
Additional tasks and responsibilities:
- Assist in inventory counts and reconciliation activities.
- Handle returned items and ensure proper restocking.
- Coordinate with other department such as Procurement, Accounting, Fleet & Trucking, and Project Teams as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Competencies and Basic Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Prior warehouse experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of inventory systems is an advantage.
- Ability to handle physical tasks, including lifting and moving materials.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Physical Demands
- Frequent standing, walking, lifting, and carrying of materials.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment and perform manual tasks.
Travel
Occasional local travel may be required for material pickup or delivery.
