ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Phi Theta Kappa is seeking a strategic, relationship-focused higher education professional to serve as Associate Director of College Relations, helping colleges and universities strengthen their connections with high-achieving community college students and expand transfer opportunities.
This position develops and supports partnerships with four-year institutions and helps colleges strategically engage with PTK Connect, PTK Direct Admission, PTK-designated transfer scholarships, the Transfer Honor Roll, virtual transfer fairs, webinars, and other recruitment initiatives.
The Associate Director works closely with institutional partners to understand transfer enrollment priorities, strengthen engagement with PTK members, and use data and partner feedback to improve programs and identify new opportunities. The position will also continually develop expertise in community college transfer and share that knowledge with professionals across the two- and four-year sectors through professional development, presentations, webinars, articles, newsletters, and other educational resources.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Develop and maintain relationships with new and returning college and university partners, helping institutions identify PTK programs and resources that support their transfer recruitment goals.
- Expand institutional engagement with PTK Connect, PTK Direct Admission, PTK-designated transfer scholarships, the Transfer Honor Roll, virtual transfer fairs, Convention opportunities, and other College Relations initiatives.
- Recruit, onboard, and support PTK Direct Admission partners, including development and maintenance of admission offers, eligibility criteria, scholarship information, student guidance, and institutional contacts.
- Serve as a strategic resource to institutional partners seeking to expand transfer pipelines and strengthen engagement with high-achieving community college students.
- Coordinate annual scholarship updates and help ensure institutional scholarship and contact information remain accurate and useful to students.
- Contribute significantly to the Transfer Honor Roll program through institutional outreach, partner support, profile completion, participation efforts, and ongoing program development.
- Continually develop expertise in community college transfer, transfer recruitment and enrollment, transfer pathways, scholarships, and emerging issues affecting transfer students and professionals.
- Translate transfer knowledge, research, trends, and promising practices into professional development for professionals across the two- and four-year sectors through webinars, conference presentations and sessions, articles, newsletters, training resources, and other educational programming.
- Contribute to professional development efforts designed to help transfer professionals strengthen their skills, grow in their careers, remain engaged in the profession, and provide continuity and high-quality support to the students they serve.
- Develop and facilitate webinars, virtual fairs, demonstrations, training sessions, and other learning opportunities for institutional partners and transfer professionals.
- Represent Phi Theta Kappa at professional conferences and events through presentations, demonstrations, networking, and institutional outreach.
- Provide responsive partner support by understanding institutional needs, recommending appropriate resources, resolving concerns, and strengthening engagement.
- Analyze participation, engagement, and recruitment data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Stay informed about developments, research, and promising practices in transfer enrollment, student recruitment, scholarships, transfer pathways, and community college partnerships.
- Collaborate across Phi Theta Kappa to advance shared organizational priorities and support implementation of the strategic plan.
