Job Description
Job Title: Sr. Mechanical Engineer
Your Role:
- Strong understanding of physics and hand calculation of the mechanical components for deciding strength, stiffness etc.
- Good Understanding of interfacing of Mechanical components with electrical components and software.
- Selection of the shelf component such as like Motors, belts , pulleys, Ball screw.
- Hands on Experience in Matlab, Simulink, Simscape.
- Hands on experience in structural design(Ansys or equivalent), CAD(Creo and Equivalent), Windchill PDM / PLM for managing lifecycle of the components.
- Knowledge in manufacturability considerations for Plastic, Sheetmetal, Casting Components.
- Experience in conducting verification and experimental testing at components / subsystem level.
- Identifying the suitable material, apply DFM/DFA concepts in design.
- Experience with standard NPI / NPD process: Ideation to Industrialization.
- Familiar with latest engineering design and methods, tools, and processes
- Experience in Medical Device development and knowledge of IEC 60601 standards will be an added advantage.
- Disciplined team worker, ability to work independently with timely guidance.
- Result oriented team player.
- Excellent communication skills and Positive ‘can do’ attitude.
- Quality mindset in design and documentation.
You're the right fit if:
- Completed Engineering studies at University level; BE/BTech/ME/MTech in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in design & development of system/subsystem having plastic molded and sheet-metal components
