It Environment Hands-on Coordinator

The role is based in Paris, France.
Client:
Our client, a tier 1 investment bank, is in the early stages of a substantial change program. The bank plans to migrate some of their core trading and risk functionality to a centralized valuation service. This migration is critical to the bank being able to satisfy key compliance requirements that are due to roll out over the next couple of years.
Role and Responsibilities:
You will take responsibility for environments requirements, strategy, governance and planning definition covering deployment and configuration management (formal environment strategy write-up as deliverable); contribution to the dev governance, test strategy, project plan and project resource profiling & on-boarding.
During the implementation phase, you will be responsible for the hands-on management of the environment team; active management of the environments availability against the project plan; active management of the environment suite (reporting availability against agreed metrics and KPIs); ownership of the deployment process; contribution to the management of the development and test activities.

Skills & Experience:
-Your skills should cover release & deployment, configuration management, scheduling, monitoring and environment reporting. A development background preferred with some project management experience
- Should have worked with agile teams as part of a large enterprise agile programme
- Should have prior experience managing Continuous Integration/Continuous Development environments.
- Should be able to assist Architecture, Development & Test teams define environment requirements
- Exposure to, or have worked with DevOps tools. Build Systems (Jenkins/Teamcity), Automation technologies (Ansible/Puppet/Chef), Databases (MSSQL/Oracle/NoSQL), Version control systems (SVN, git), Scripting languages (bash, python, Powershell), Grid Computing (TIBCO Data Synapse)
- Great communication skills because the role involves direct contact with the client
- English is a must, French is a plus
