DSEAR Assessor

PIB Risk Management | Field-Based | South East England (Reading, Maidenhead, Oxford & Crawley)

Join PIB Risk Management, the specialist risk and health & safety consultancy arm of PIB Group, as a DSEAR Assessor.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with some exposure to DSEAR, hazardous substances, process safety, fire safety, engineering inspections, or related health & safety disciplines who is looking to develop their expertise within a specialist consultancy environment. We are committed to supporting the right individual through ongoing training, mentoring, and professional development, including DSEAR qualifications.

Working across the South of England, you'll support a diverse range of clients by helping identify and manage fire and explosion risks, improve safety standards, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.

What you'll do

• Support the delivery of DSEAR risk assessments and hazardous area inspections across a variety of client sites
• Identify fire, explosion, and flammable substance risks and help develop practical recommendations
• Produce clear, high-quality technical reports and risk management documentation
• Support clients with compliance against DSEAR and related legislation
• Build strong client relationships and contribute to wider risk management services
• Travel across the South of England, with occasional overnight stays

What we're looking for

• Some exposure to DSEAR, hazardous substances, process safety, fire safety, engineering inspections, or a related technical discipline
• A genuine interest in developing a career within DSEAR and hazardous area risk management
• Relevant qualification or background in engineering, health & safety, science, process operations, facilities management, or a similar field
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical information clearly
• Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable working independently
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
