Extraction Production Assistant (Overnight Shift)

The Extraction Production Assistant is responsible for assisting in the safe and efficient extraction of cannabis oil from raw cannabis biomass. This role supports all facets of the extraction process, including preparation, equipment operation, post-production, and cleaning, while ensuring strict compliance with company SOPs and state regulations.  The Extraction Production Assistant will strictly follow the company’s standard operating procedures and quality control measures to maintain production of high-quality products. The position is responsible for carrying out day-to-day tasks including creating and refining of concentrate products.  The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and capable of working in a fast-paced production environment with potentially hazardous materials under minimal supervision.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• • Prepare biomass for extraction (weighing, loading, labeling, etc.)

  • Assist in operation and monitoring extraction equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures

  • Perform post-processing tasks

  • Assist with equipment maintenance, cleaning, and sanitation to ensure optimal performance and cleanliness

  • Maintain detailed logs and batch records in compliance with state regulations and internal QC procedures

  • Handle and transport solvents and other chemicals safely in accordance with OSHA and facility protocols

  • Identify and report equipment issues, product inconsistencies, or safety concerns to supervisors promptly

  • Collaborate with team members to meet daily and weekly production targets

  • Support R&D efforts when requested by management

  • Maintain compliance with safety, cleanliness, and regulatory standards in a C1D1 environment

  • Perform all post-production tasks following standard operating procedures.

  • Ensure personal hygiene is acceptable before performing any production activities by washing hands, wearing all applicable personal protective equipment, etc.

  • Ensure that all post-production equipment and extraction equipment are operating at full efficiency with daily upkeep.

  • Additional job duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Abilities:

• • Knowledge of all processes and procedures for production of cannabis concentrates

  • Knowledge of all equipment and tools that are used in the Post-Production department.

  • Knowledge of all Production Logs and ability to fill them out with a high degree of accuracy

  • Strong understanding of mechanical processes and general lab procedures

  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere strictly to SOPs

  • Basic math and measurement skills

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities

  • Familiarity with safety standards in handling flammable or pressurized materials

  • Ability to maintain accuracy and efficiency under pressure

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills

  • Comfortable working in environments with strong odors and variable temperatures

Preferred Education & Experience:

• • High school diploma or GED equivalent (required).

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred).

  • Must be 21+ and able to pass required background checks.

Physical Requirements:

• • This role requires the ability to stand or sit for extended periods, perform repetitive hand and arm movements, and frequently bend or stoop. The employee must also be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds. The position is performed indoors, typically in a cooler environment, and requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to maintain safety and compliance standards.
