Field Service Engineer
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair technical equipment and systems at client sites. You will serve as the face of the company during on-site visits, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through professional and timely service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, commission, and configure equipment at customer sites.
- Provide technical support for gas delivery systems, mass flow controllers, and pressure controllers used in semiconductor manufacturing. Address customer inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and offer solutions to ensure optimal system performance.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and calibration of systems.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment failures or malfunctions.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users and operators.
- Document service calls, including detailed reports and recommendations.
- Maintain strong client relationships and act as a trusted technical advisor.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to improve equipment reliability and performance.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
- Travel to customer locations, sometimes at short notice.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience as a equipment service technician or engineer.
- 2-5 years of experience in a technical role related to gas delivery systems, mass flow controllers, and/or pressure controllers.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and/or software systems
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Willingness to travel frequently and work flexible hours.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
