Summary:
The Quality Control Technician will perform general duties related the to manufacturer and testing of material produced during the assigned shift. The duties will be performed in a safe manner that is in accordance with the Sprinturf standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor operations to ensure that they meet production standards
- Determining the cause of product defects
- Recommend adjustments to the production process
- Inspect, test, and measure materials
- Use equipment to measure materials
- Document and organizing data of products
- Review settings and processes of machinery
Qualifications:
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills
- Astute attention to detail
- Time management skills
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Basic math skills
- Willing and caring attitude of company standards and policies
- Ability to use measuring devices such as scales and gauges
- Documentation and reporting skills
- Teamwork and collaboration
- Comfortable standing or walking for long periods of time
Working conditions:
- The physical requirements for these positions will include standing or walking constantly during the shift. Will need to be able to lift 10-15 lbs. packages frequently during the shift. The environment is not air conditioned. The temperature inside the plant will be hot during the warm months and cooler during the colder months.
