Senior Database Administrator

Your influential mission. You will...

• Monitor database health, performance, and availability by identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks in complex production environments while ensuring business continuity requirements are met.
• Perform regular health checks and vulnerability assessments while performing proactive capacity planning and database optimization activities.
• Ensure database security standards and best practices are implemented and maintained.
• Plan and execute database migrations, upgrades, and platform refreshes.
• Diagnose and resolve critical production incidents within agreed SLAs.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Shell, Python, PL/SQL, or similar technologies.
• Improve operational efficiency through automation and infrastructure-as-code practices.

Components for success. You have...

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on Oracle DBA experience.
• Minimum 2+ years managing Oracle Database 19c environments.
• Experience supporting large-scale production systems with high availability requirements.

Extensive knowledge of:

• Oracle Database 19c
• Oracle RAC
• Oracle ASM
• RMAN Backup & Recovery
• Database Security and Auditing
• Performance Tuning and Optimization
• Partitioning
• SQL and PL/SQL

Experience with:

• Linux administration
• Shell scripting
• Database upgrades and migrations
• Capacity planning
• Monitoring and alerting platforms

You'll get extra points for...

• Any experience in the betting industry and betting systems will be considered an advantage.
• Database administration experience with PostgreSQL.
• Backup/recovery, replication, performance tuning, and troubleshooting of PostgreSQL environments.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Experience with Google BigQuery

Basic knowledge of:

• Kibana
• Elasticsearch
• Grafana
• Splunk
• Other web-based monitoring and data analysis platforms.
