Software Engineer (Risk and Payments Team)

• Develop software solutions and introduce new technologies within IMS
• Design, build, test, and debug reliable, high-quality software
• Work with external parties and integrate many separate systems via API-s
• Contribute to a strong automated testing culture and ensure code quality
• Create and maintain development documentation while helping improve team processes
• Collaborate actively with your team, participate in retrospectives, and take ownership of your work

Components for success. You...

• Have 1+ years of experience with Java in a professional environment
• Have a solid understanding of core Java concepts and good theoretical fundamentals
• Have experience working with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, Oracle)
• Are comfortable writing clean, maintainable, and testable code
• Are a team player who can collaborate effectively, while also taking ownership of assigned areas
• Are curious, proactive, and open to learning new technologies and approaches

IMS RISK & PAYMENTS TEAM
We are a core part of Playtech’s ecosystem, responsible for transferring a huge volume of money in and out of Playtech’s systems. We do it by integrating with external providers, banks, and payment gateways. As financial operations are strictly regulated, we also get to build a system that does the work of cyberdetectives - detecting and blocking fraudulent actions, preventing money laundering, detecting stolen or misused credit cards, and so on.

All of the above is managed by development, QA, and Ops engineers who work closely together as a well-oiled machine of highly skilled professionals.
