    Job description

    <div>Plymouth Industries is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Purchasing Analyst to support purchasing activities for our custom manufacturing operations. This is an entry-level opportunity for someone interested in building a career in purchasing, supply chain, or manufacturing. The Purchasing Analyst will receive training and work closely with company leadership, suppliers, engineering, and production to help ensure materials, components, and outside services are ordered accurately and delivered on time.<br><br><strong>Compensation:</strong><br>•<span style="white-space:pre;">    </span>$23-$30/hour, based on experience.<br>•<span style="white-space:pre;">    </span>Bonus Opportunities<br>•<span style="white-space:pre;">    </span>Health Insurance<br>•<span style="white-space:pre;">    </span>Dental Insurance<br>•<span style="white-space:pre;">    </span>Life Insurance<br>•<span style="white-space:pre;">    </span>401(k)<br>•<span style="white-space:pre;">    </span>Paid vacation and holidays<br><br><strong>Responsibilities:</strong><br>•<span style="white-space:pre;">    </span>Prepare and submit purchase orders using information provided by approved suppliers and internal team members.<br>•<span style="white-space:pre;">    </span>Request pricing, availability, and delivery information from suppliers.<br>•<span style="white-space:pre;">    </span>Follow up on open purchase orders and communicate delivery updates to the appropriate departments.<br>•<span style="white-space:pre;">    </span>Verify order confirmations, quantities, pricing, and expected delivery dates.<br>•<span style="white-space:pre;">    </span>Assist with sourcing standard components, equipment, materials, and outside services.<br>•<span style="white-space:pre;">    </span>Maintain accurate supplier, purchase order, pricing, and delivery records.<br>•<span style="white-space:pre;">    </span>Help monitor inventory levels and identify materials that may need to be reordered.<br>•<span style="white-space:pre;">    </span>Communicate routine order discrepancies, shortages, and late deliveries to suppliers and internal team members.<br>•<span style="white-space:pre;">    </span>Support supplier performance tracking and help maintain positive vendor relationships.<br>•<span style="white-space:pre;">    </span>Work with engineering, production, accounting, and other departments to clarify purchasing needs.<br>•<span style="white-space:pre;">    </span>Learn Plymouth Industries' products, manufacturing processes, purchasing procedures, and ERP system.<br>•<span style="white-space:pre;">    </span>Assist with other purchasing and administrative duties as assigned<br><br><strong>Requirements:</strong><br>•<span style="white-space:pre;">    </span>Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accurate work.<br>•<span style="white-space:pre;">    </span>Clear written and verbal communication skills.<br>•<span style="white-space:pre;">    </span>Basic math, organization, and problem-solving skills.<br>•<span style="white-space:pre;">    </span>Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on assigned tasks.<br>•<span style="white-space:pre;">    </span>Comfort working independently and as part of a team.<br>•<span style="white-space:pre;">    </span>Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel.<br>•<span style="white-space:pre;">    </span>Willingness to learn purchasing software, ERP systems, manufacturing terminology, and supplier processes.<br><br><strong>Experience:</strong><br>•<span style="white-space:pre;">    </span>No previous purchasing experience is required; manufacturing, office, customer service, scheduling, or inventory experience is helpful.<br><br><strong>Education:</strong><br>•<span style="white-space:pre;">    </span>High school diploma or equivalent required.<br>•<span style="white-space:pre;">    </span>Associate degree, bachelor's degree, technical training, or coursework in business, supply chain, engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.<br>•<span style="white-space:pre;">    </span>Zero to two years of related experience.
