We are seeking a dynamic, relationship-driven Director of Sales to lead revenue strategy for an exciting new hotel brand, Caption by Hyatt, opening in Hillsboro, Oregon.
This is a unique opportunity for a hospitality sales leader who thrives on building market presence, developing high-performing teams, and driving revenue growth from the ground up. As a member of the hotel leadership team, you will be responsible for growing market share, securing new business, and creating lasting client relationships throughout the Portland metro region.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive hotel revenue through strategic sales and business development efforts.
- Prospect, solicit, negotiate, and close new corporate, group, and local business.
- Conduct outside sales calls, site tours, and client presentations.
- Partner with the General Manager and Revenue Manager on forecasting, budgeting, and revenue strategies.
- Analyze market trends, STAR reports, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities.
- Represent the hotel at networking events, trade shows, and industry functions.
- Maintain sales systems, reporting, and administrative processes to company standards.

- Proven hotel sales leader with a passion for hospitality and results.

- Local or regional market knowledge is a plus.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of hotel sales management experience.
- Minimum 2 years managing a sales team.
- Experience with hotel marketing and revenue generation strategies.
- Working knowledge of group and catering sales.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Sales, Marketing, or related field preferred.
- Major hotel brand experience preferred.
