KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carry out construction activities such as block laying, concreting, plastering, tiling, and other building works as assigned.
- Interpret basic site instructions, sketches, and drawings under supervision to execute works correctly.
- Ensure workmanship meets required quality standards and rectify defects when identified.
- Support setting out, site preparation, and measurement activities as directed by supervisors.
- Use materials efficiently and minimize wastage on site.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition and report faults promptly.
- Follow all site safety procedures and use required protective equipment at all times.
- Assist engineers and supervisors in achieving daily and weekly construction targets.
- Report site challenges, delays, or material shortages to the Site Supervisor immediately
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Building technology, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Must be COREN certified
- ISO 9001 & ISO 45001 awareness training (Required).
- Minimum of 5–7 years’ experience in building construction and site supervision.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
- Experience working within ISO-compliant systems is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, regulatory standards, planning regulations, and construction methodologies.
