Groundskeeper

Job Purpose: Maintain the aesthetic appeal and health of the Pomfret School landscape and ensure that grounds are safe for the campus community Essential Job

Duties and Responsibilities:

Complete assigned daily maintenance per the Lead Groundskeeper Complete seasonal grounds maintenance work including snow and ice removal, planting bed maintenance, tree and shrub care, spring clean-up and fall leaf clean-up Complete work orders within the assigned time frame Ability to write routine instructions, reports, logs, and descriptions of equipment problems and needs Execute daily, preventative maintenance operations on all assigned vehicles and equipment in accordance with manufacturer recommendations.

Wear all required safety equipment when conducting work Provide assistance to other department members as needed in the completion of work tasks and provide appropriate support for major events such as but not limited to Commencement and Opening of School Adhere to all School policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook Continually meet or exceed Pomfret School’s Standards of Behavior, Character, and Engagement Perform other duties as assigned
