    Opportunity Overview

At POP MART, we're redefining the intersection of retail, entertainment, and designer collectibles. As one of the fastest-growing global consumer brands, we're expanding rapidly across North America and looking for a strategic finance leader to help drive that growth.

As the Regional Finance Business Partner, you will serve as the primary financial advisor to our North America retail organization, partnering closely with cross-functional leaders to drive profitability, improve operational performance, and support strategic decision-making. This is not a traditional accounting role—it's a highly visible business partnering position where you'll translate financial data into actionable insights, influence key investments, strengthen operational controls, and help shape the future of one of the world's fastest-growing retail organizations.

Success in this role requires strong financial acumen, commercial thinking, analytical problem-solving, and the ability to influence stakeholders across multiple functions. You'll collaborate with leaders throughout Retail, Commercial, Supply Chain, Construction, Merchandising, and Corporate Shared Services while supporting executive leadership with strategic planning, forecasting, and investment decisions.

    What You Will Achieve

    Drive Business Performance

    • Partner with Retail, Commercial, Supply Chain, and Operations leaders to improve profitability, operational efficiency, and business performance.
    • Go beyond reporting financial results by challenging assumptions, identifying root causes, and recommending data-driven solutions.
    • Deliver financial insights that influence strategic decisions and improve overall business outcomes.

    Financial Planning & Business Insights

    • Lead the annual budgeting process, quarterly rolling forecasts, monthly business reviews, financial modeling, scenario planning, and profitability analysis.
    • Develop executive-ready reporting that transforms financial performance into clear, actionable business recommendations.
    • Identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities while providing strategic guidance to local leadership and global HQ.

    Strategic Cross-Functional Partnership

    • Serve as the trusted finance partner for Retail Operations, Business Development, Construction, Key Accounts, Merchandising, and Supply Chain.
    • Collaborate closely with Accounting, Accounts Payable, Tax, Legal, IT, and Internal Audit to ensure business decisions are accurately reflected and operational challenges are resolved efficiently.
    • Build strong relationships across the organization to improve collaboration and execution.

Lead New Store Investment Decisions (CAPEX)

    • Partner with Retail Leadership, Business Development, and Construction teams to evaluate new store investments.
    • Develop store-level P&L models, CAPEX budgets, investment analyses, and executive approval packages.
    • Support capital allocation decisions by evaluating financial returns, risks, and long-term business impact.

Strengthen Inventory, Cash & Operational Governance

    • Improve visibility and governance across stores, warehouses, and logistics partners.
    • Enhance cash controls, inventory movement tracking, reconciliation, return processes, and logistics exception management.
    • Identify operational gaps and implement preventive controls that reduce risk before financial issues occur.

    Drive Operational Excellence

    • Design practical financial controls and governance processes that improve transparency without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.
    • Recommend process improvements that strengthen compliance, increase efficiency, and support scalable business growth.
    • Champion a culture of continuous improvement across finance and operations.

    Influence Through Data

    • Leverage financial and operational data to uncover opportunities, answer critical business questions, and challenge conventional thinking.
    • Connect financial performance with operational execution to influence leadership decisions.
    • Drive meaningful business improvements through fact-based analysis and strategic recommendations.

    What You Will Need

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related discipline
    • 8+ years of experience in FP&A, Commercial Finance, Business Finance or Finance Business Partnering
    • Experience supporting retail, consumer products or multi-site operations is highly preferred
    • Experience working with cross-border or multinational organizations
    • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience supporting a multi-unit retail, consumer products, entertainment, or omnichannel business.
    • Previous Finance Business Partner experience supporting Retail, Commercial, Supply Chain, or Operations teams.
    • Strong financial modeling skills, including CAPEX, ROI, and new store investment analysis.
    • Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar) and business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
    • Advanced Excel skills and experience developing executive-level financial reporting and presentations.

    • Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
    • CPA, CMA, MBA, or equivalent professional certification is a plus.
