Job Description
- Assume the role of Company Secretary (when necessary), in accordance with the Companies Act 2016 and other applicable laws and regulations.
- Incorporate new companies and prepare, lodge, and maintain statutory documents, resolutions, and returns.
- Maintain and update statutory books, registers, and corporate records to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Assist to develop, implement, and oversee efficient systems and processes for corporate secretarial work.
- Work with, provide support and train/guide team members in proper conduct of corporate procedures and database management.
- Ensure AML obligations are met including raising internal suspicious transactions reports if necessary.
- Support occasional offshore company administration and other tasks as assigned.
- Assist in liaising with clients, auditors, tax agents and regulatory bodies as needed.
- Perform any other duties so assigned from time to time as required.
Requirement
- Bachelor's Degree in Corporate Administration or other related field.
- Possess or is in the process of obtaining a company secretary license (MAICSA preferred).
- At least 3 years corporate secretarial experience with a professional firm or inhouse company.
- Well-versed with Malaysian Companies Act 2016.
- Self-starter and able to work independently.
- Good time management skills, ability to work under pressure and meet regulatory deadlines.
- Excellent planning, problem-solving, interpersonal skills and communication skills.
- Good command of English (both oral and written).
- Strong Microsoft Office (MS) applications - Word/ Excel/ PowerPoint.
