Job Summary

Portside is hiring a Product Manager to work on Horizon, our cloud-based flight management platform built for flight departments, fractional ownership programs, and jet card operators of every size and level of complexity. Horizon serves as the operational core for these organizations, unifying aircraft scheduling, crew management, compliance tracking, and financial operations into a single connected system, supported by advanced analytics and a growing suite of integrations.
In this role, you'll help build and deliver features that support real flight operations, in an industry that is rapidly modernizing, including a growing use of AI.
The ideal candidate takes ownership of problems until they're genuinely resolved, not just flagged, and is curious by nature — verifying assumptions and raising concerns before small issues compound. You're genuinely invested in customer outcomes, not just closing out a feature ticket, and you're collaborative, low-ego, and thrive as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities 

• Deliver on a segment of the Horizon product roadmap, translating outcomes and priorities set by product leadership into shipped features and improvements
• Collaborate day-to-day with a small, cross-functional team with engineers and others, and with the broader product team, to make and execute product decisions
• Maintain regular, direct conversations with customers to inform requirements and validate ideas before committing engineering time
• Synthesize customer input, support themes, and usage data into clear priorities
• Own specific projects and initiatives end to end, with oversight from product leadership
• Own releases for your area, including release notes, briefing Sales, Customer Success and /Support ahead of customers-facing changes, and measuring adoption against a target
• Communicate clearly with stakeholders across departments, framing product work in terms of business impact — revenue, retention, cost, risk — rather than features alone
• Incorporate AI tools into your day-to-day work, including prototyping, PRD writing, and accelerating routine tasks 

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a Product Manager at a SaaS company, or a degree or certification in product management
• Comfortable working directly with customers and internal teams, such as Sales and Implementation, to understand needs and manage expectations
• Fluent in working with engineers, able to translate requirements and priorities clearly to drive toward the best product outcome
• Able to prioritize decisively and defend those decisions with data
• Comfortable incorporating AI tools into daily work, including drafting PRDs
• A genuine interest in the technical and operational side of aviation — you'll need to learn the regulations and understand how flight departments operate
• Prior experience in B2B SaaS specifically would be a plus
• Aviation industry knowledge would be a plus
• Familiarity with MCPs or other AI tooling would be a plus
• Basic data analytics literacy, such as SQL, would be a plus
