    Job description

    Treasury functions including bank relationship management, foreign exchange operations, cash management, cash and treasury operations.  Assists in meeting overall treasury department’s policies and regulatory requirements. Responsible for the day-to-day operational aspects of the treasury department under supervision of the TL.

    Responsibilities

    Cash Management 

    • Monitors and manages company’s daily and monthly cash position
    • Determines company’s cash position and assists with cash forecasting. Alert TL on any shortfall / surplus of funds and recommend solutions
    • Gathers, interprets all relevant information to prepares monthly cash flow requirements
    • Monitor funds to ensure sufficient to meet company’s payment obligations at all time
    • Executes funds transfer between company’s banks to meet payment obligations
    • Manage payment in variance currencies correctly
    • Meet BNM guideline in ensuring all payments are in compliance with central bank’s regulations

    Cash Call Preparation

    • Prepare monthly cash on timely basis in accordance to agreement and company’s policies/ procedures
    • Compile data from both the system and the people
    • Review the information provided by line department and have a robust challenge session where required
    • Review monthly FMR to ensure cash call needs are consistent with what was reported in monthly FMR
    • Review the cash call with Senior and TL prior approval by management
    • Liaise with relevant line department on supporting documents if document attached are incomplete
    • Ability to explain the variances in cash numbers and the basis of the numbers
    • Prepare the cash call letters timely and ensure submission deadlines are met. Potential delays to be addressed with TL.
    • Prepare the timeline for line departments and AP team to provide the necessary information for cash call preparation

    Invoice payments

    • Work closely with AP team to ensure all invoices are processed timely so that funds are utilized efficiently
    • Identify invoices that need to be paid based on due dates and cash available
    • Request unblocking for identified invoices to Senior Executive, Financial Services/ Team Lead prior carry out payment run timely
    • Review weekly/monthly cash position and update the status to Senior Executive, Financial services/ Team Lead on weekly basis
    • Highlight and propose when there has been a request for early payment of invoices
    • Review monthly bank charges as billed by company’s bankers to ensure validity and perform the posting timely

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field required
    • 3-5 years in finance or accounting environment/corporate finance with cash management/treasury operations experience a big part of this experience
    • Experienced in handling standard Accounting System e.g. SAP
    • Possess computer application skills e.g. spreadsheet, word processing, power point, presentation/chart application.
