Design, develop and propose optimum detailed well designs and the associated drilling programs for the development campaign in compliance with PPJO’s accepted technical and operational standards. Key responsibilities cover but not limited to well planning, well operations, drilling engineering and contracting activities.

Accountable to deliver the development project well drilling engineering:
- Provide leadership in ensuring drilling technical and operational aspects conform to standards adopted by PPJO
- Propose well designs, well planning and optimized drilling program including innovative solutions to complex drilling techniques for required for HPHT drilling.
- Provide technical specifications for drilling equipment and services required for HPHT, NPNT and brownfield development plan and area development plan in consultation with all stakeholders
- Recommend improvements and optimization include lesson learned from previous wells including evaluation and execution of necessary studies to deliver work program and budget.
- Ensuring that the well AFEs are professionally prepared - accurate and reliable well cost estimate, technical feasibility of wells (incl. HPHT) and realistic drilling schedule
- Champion for HSE related to drilling activities e.g. risk assessment, contingency operations
- Provide input to related contracting process and cycles like Tender Plan and Invitation to Bid Document, conduct Technical and Techno-Commercial evaluations, and prepare Award Recommendation
- Provide sound input for Work Programs and Budgets
- Set standards and championing prudent reporting and documentation best practices including compliance with company and statutory reporting requirements
- Mentoring junior engineers and drilling staff

Qualifications
Job Requirement:-
- Minimum recognized Honors Degree (BSc or BEng)
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in drilling engineering and operations preferably gained through hands-on drilling experience in offshore gas and HPHT drilling operations
- Knowledge and experience in well planning, offshore new and mature field development plan and HPHT operations
- Knowledge in well design including proficiency in the use of well design software (e.g. Landmark) advanced casing design (Wellcat), ERD/hydraulics (e.g. K&M, WellPlan), Kick Tolerance modelling (e.g. Drillbench), online drilling daily reporting software, etc.)
- Knowledge in complex design standards and operational practices including MPD, MPC, ERD, fluids, cementing, equipment specifications and annulus pressure management
- Familiar and experienced with HSE Standards and Procedures and HSE culture of major international operators
- Valid Medical Certificate, HUET and Offshore Survival Certificate. Preferably possess an IWCF or IADC well control certificate.
