Process Technician Assembly

Job description

PragmatIC's assembly team urgently needs an experienced process technician, to be involved in helping to standardise and develop all processes after wafer fabrication, to enable automated high-volume throughput. This is a great role, to be part of setting up processes in our developing technology, giving you the chance to make a difference.

Key tasks:

Supporting day to day production through the back-end assembly department to enable high yielding (>99.5%) product to be shipped to customer
Standardisation and development of processes by working under the instruction of the department process engineering group
Carry out daily/weekly tool and process checks as required
Set-up, adjust and operate a variety of complex computer-controlled equipment involved in the manufacture of flexible electronics

Qualifications and training:

Degree in a relevant discipline (an advantage)
Relevant experience in a high-tech industry

Skills and experience:

Previous experience of working in a dynamic, fast paced, high tech industry
Demonstrable use of running process trials, collating and presenting the results, drawing conclusions and making recommendations
Experience with risk assessments, NCRs, CAPA and change control.
Must have a methodical and analytical way of working
SPC, Continuous Improvement, 8D and other quality methodologies (an advantage)
Experience of working within the electronics or semiconductor industry (an advantage)

The successful candidate will be experienced in PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) process development in the micro-electronics field and be responsible for designing, implementing, controlling and optimising some of PragmatIC’s production processes to ensure the company can meet its business goals.
