    Job description

    $750 Hiring Bonus for new Team Members plus $50 in gas gift cards during our onboarding process. 

    Prairie Band Casino & Resort offers an attractive benefits package including medical (casino pays over 70% of premiums), Dental (casino pays 79% of premiums), and Vision. Prairie Band also pays 100% of short-term and long-term disability and life insurance of $15,000 for all Team Members.


    There is a 50% employer match up to 6% on our 401(k), a profit-sharing bonus paid out multiple times a year when financial goals are met, double pay on holidays, 25¢ off per gallon of gas at our gas station, and a generous Paid Time Off policy where you can earn up to 18 days in your first year of employment!

    Supervises the enforcement of company security regulations, ensures a controlled and safe environment at Prairie Band Casino & Resort.  May assist with minor medical situations.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Assist the Security Manager with the staffing and training of Security Officers
    • Responsible for security policies and procedures as it applies to the approved System of Internal Controls and Tribal State Gaming Compact Regulations and Emergency Operating Procedures
    • Ensures adequate coverage and ensures Team Members are relieved of their duties in a timely manner per established schedule
    • Completes required documentation, coaching and performance evaluations in a timely manner for all personnel under their supervision
    • Performs Security Officer functions as needed
    • Reviews all Accident Reports, Medical Reports and Security Incident Reports
    • Transports Gaming Chips, Coin, and Cash
    • Reports any improper or illegal or suspected improper or illegal acts directly to the Security Manager
    • Assists with maintaining a clean and orderly working environment
    • Schedules shift assignments
    • Adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies in an ethical manner and encourages others to do the same
    • Additional duties as assigned

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

    Required

    • High School Diploma or GED, required
    • 2 years supervisory experience and/or 2 years security/law enforcement experience
    • General knowledge of basic computer skills
    • Basic mathematic proficiency
    • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English, bi-lingual a plus
    • Must be able to work both independently and as a member of a team
    • Must adhere to the professional appearance standard as outlined in the Prairie Band Casino & Resort Team Member Handbook
    • Ability to meet attendance guidelines set forth in the Prairie Band Casino & Resort Team Member Handbook
    • Available to work required schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
    • A record of satisfactory performance and reliability in all prior and current employment

    Preferred

    • Extensive professional and college level training
    • 6 months previous customer service or related experience

    PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

    • Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations
    • Able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, and bright lights
    • Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, kneel, and grip items when necessary
    • Excellent vision, including peripheral
    • Excellent hearing with the ability to wear an ear piece for 8-10 hours
    • Respond to visual and aural cues
    • Able to use tact when dealing with difficult customers
    • Must be physically able to restrain combative customers
    • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
    • Operate in mentally and physically stressful situations
