Your Opportunity 

Primero are currently recruiting for a Crane & Rigging Supervisor to join our Coastal Water Supply Sustaining Project in Dampier on a 2:1 roster. This is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing all heavy lift and rigging activities across one of Western Australia's most significant water infrastructure projects.

Partnering with the Site Leadership Team and key construction stakeholders, you will lead the planning and execution of complex lifting operations associated with the construction of a state-of-the-art seawater desalination plant. From large process equipment and mechanical installations to structural and piping modules, you'll play a critical role in safely delivering the infrastructure that will provide a sustainable water supply for the Pilbara region.

• The ability to liaise with procurement personnel for all necessary material and consumable requirements.
• The ability to read and interpret specifications, technical drawings, schematics, and any other engineering documentation and/or reports.
• The capacity to plan, schedule, conduct, and/or coordinate detailed phases of assigned project work.
• Supervise and coordinate structural, mechanical, and piping installation activities to meet project targets.
• Ensure that safety, quality, and environmental standards are consistently met or exceeded.
• Lead daily pre-start meetings and toolbox talks to maintain team engagement and safety focus.
• Monitor workforce performance and provide coaching and support to ensure productivity and quality outcomes.
• Liaise with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to resolve construction challenges and maintain project momentum.
• Conduct inspections to verify that works are completed to design and specification before handover.

What You ‘Can Do’

• Significant experience as a Structural or Rigging Supervisor on Major Projects.
• Current Schedule 26 (S26) Statutory Supervisor qualification.
• Experience with managing blue collar crew and subcontractors.
• Experience in multi-discipline, mining project delivery.
• Ability to read and interpret design drawings, schematics and other engineering drawings.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage performance effectively.
• Strong understanding of SMP construction methodologies and industry best practices.
• Solid knowledge of safety systems, permit to work processes, and risk assessments on large projects.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a high-pressure, schedule-driven environment.
• Competency in using construction management software and Microsoft Office suite.
