Your Opportunity
As a QA Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring that fabrication, construction, and installation activities are executed in accordance with project specifications, applicable codes, client requirements, and Primero’s quality standards. Working closely with engineering, project delivery, and construction teams, you will conduct inspections, verify compliance, maintain quality documentation, and contribute to the successful delivery of major mining, mineral processing, and energy projects. Your Key Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of fabrication, welding, structural steel, piping, and mechanical installations in accordance with approved inspection and test plans (ITPs).
• Verify that construction and fabrication activities comply with project specifications, applicable standards, drawings, and client requirements.
• Review and maintain quality records, inspection reports, test results, and turnover documentation.
• Witness and document inspections, testing, and commissioning activities as required.
• Identify, document, and follow up non-conformances to ensure timely close-out and corrective action implementation.
• Liaise with project teams, subcontractors, clients, and third-party inspectors to ensure quality requirements are achieved.
• Assist in the preparation and review of quality documentation, procedures, and inspection schedules.
• Promote a strong culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement across project activities.
• Support project handover activities through verification and compilation of quality dossiers and completion records.

What You 'Can Do' 

• Hold a current CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector qualification (mandatory).
• Have a relevant trade certificate or engineering degree.
• Demonstrated experience as a QA Inspector within construction, mining, resources, energy, or heavy industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of Australian and international welding, fabrication, piping, and structural steel standards.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, welding procedures, and inspection test plans.
• Experience managing inspection records, quality documentation, and turnover packages.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• High attention to detail and a proactive approach to quality management.
• Ability to complete pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening requirements.
