    Job description

    Priory Hospital  Newbury Salary £26,300 Full Time/37.5 Hours Priory Hospital Newbury, located Berkshire, is a level 2 rehabilitation service which supports male adults with mental health needs, who are working towards a life back in the community.  We are well-placed to accept patients who need higher levels of care and intensive therapeutic support, as well as those stepping down in acuity. In this role, you will play a key part in patient recovery, supporting the assessment and delivery of tailored treatment plans while ensuring dignity, respect, and high standards of care.

    Support qualified Psychologists in delivering high-quality psychological assessments, interventions and person-centred care to patients.  Build therapeutic relationships with patients, co-facilitating groups and delivering low-intensity psychological interventions under supervision.   Work collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary team (MDT), contributing psychological perspectives to patient care and recovery planning.   Maintain accurate clinical records, assist with outcome measures, and support service evaluation, audit and research activities.   Receive regular clinical supervision and gain valuable experience in a supportive environment, with opportunities for ongoing professional development.

The successful candidate will hold a Psychology degree (minimum 2:1) and ideally have graduated with the British Psychological Society (BPS). Previous experience working in a mental health, healthcare or social care setting is desirable, along with a sound understanding of psychological theory and evidence-based practice.  You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build positive therapeutic relationships with patients and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
