Bank Support Worker

The Croft, 17 Croft Ln, Wortham, Diss IP22 4NA £13.45 per hour Working hours are 08:00 - 20:00 (or 08:00 - 14:00 - 14:00 - 20:00) for day shifts and 20:00 - 08:00 for night duties. The Croft has an opportunity for a Bank Support Worker to join our team.  The Croft, Diss, Norfolk is a residential service supporting 6 adults with a range of needs. It is located in a town setting and is accessible by public transport, with local bus routes and Diss railway station nearby.

Due to the location of the service, access to a vehicle or the ability to drive is recommended. The homes values are rooted in dignity, respect and treating each resident as an individual encouraging them to be as independent as possible and to develop and maintain skills. The resident group require support in all aspects of their lives including personal care, accessing the community, maintaining contact with friends and family.

You’ll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the service. Whether you're assisting with day-to-day operations, supporting with care requirements, keeping things organised, or ensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.      Ensure that the people who use our service have any personal needs or requirements met; including personal care, participation in activities and support with daily living tasks.

To support people who use our service in achieving their outcomes in the way that they choose.   Complete daily administration including updating person centred support & care plans, updating charts and completing accurate daily notes.   Maintains professional relationships whilst developing a good rapport with the people who use our service, their family, colleagues, visitors and other stakeholders.  Through own professional behaviour, including adhering to policies and procedures, contributes to the maintenance of safety, security and confidentiality standards.  To undertake keyworking responsibility for individual service users, supporting the individual to plan goals and personal outcomes and ensure that these are comprehensively documented and reviewed.       You can find additional information in the attached job description.  Essential for the role NVQ2 in Health & Social Care or related area or equivalent or higher recognised qualification.

GCSE or NVQ2 in English and Maths. N.B. It is not anticipated that all new recruits to the role will have NVQ2 qualification but will commence the attainment process within six months of joining and will have a specific time period in which to qualify.
