Bowden Lodge has an opportunity for a Support Worker to join our team.
Bowden Lodge is located in Darnall, in Sheffield. The home provides residential support for 16 males and females with mental health needs.
We can also support those who have:
- A mild learning disability
- Mild to moderate behaviour that may challenge
- A forensic background
- Low-level mobility needs
- Epilepsy
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our residents wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents
- Ensure that the people who use our service have any needs or requirements met; including participation in activities and support with daily living tasks.
- To support people who use our service in achieving their outcomes in the way that they choose.
- Where daily duties and tasks have not been completed by the client, continue to encourage them to take responsibility. This includes regular engagement throughout the day and night.
- Complete daily administration tasks in Nourish including updating person centred support & care plans, updating charts and completing accurate daily notes.
- Maintain professional relationships whilst developing a good rapport with the people who use our service, their family, colleagues, visitors and other stakeholders.
- To undertake key working responsibility for individual clients, supporting the individual to plan goals and personal outcomes and ensure that these are comprehensively documented and reviewed.
- The role holder should have a flexible and innovative approach to their work and be able to facilitate and support clients in decision making, promoting choice and involvement at all times.
- The role holder should present the service in a positive light and should be proactive in making suggestions for how to improve the service.
