Logistics Planner

Excellent opportunity to join a fast growing Engineering company who are expanding rapidly in the UK and Europe. The company install large machinery into Manufacturing Plans throughout the South of England. Projects tend to be 4 - 10 days and cost over £100,000.

They are currently looking to recruit a Logistics Planner who can oversee the scheduling and planning of a number of projects. The person will be responsible for all issues regarding stock and people planning.

The role will be a clear mix of planning, motivating and mentoring the team as well as ensuring compliance with the Head office systems and procedures. Particularly around stock.

The right person will understand what it takes to manage a large manual workforce and be able to act decisively when problems occur. The projects are time critical as the plant shuts down for the implementation so effective scheduling is important however it often goes wrong crisis management is a must. A key part of this is keeping the staff motivated and focused.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hardworking and ambitious recent graduate or individual with a few years experience as the prospects for the role are endless. For the first year the person will need to be on hands on however it is expected to understand the industry and grow their knowledge and skill base. . The right person will be given full support and resources to achieve this.
