As a Produce Clerk, you’ll help maintain fresh, fully stocked produce displays while delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced grocery store environment.

What You’ll Do
- Stock, rotate, and replenish fresh produce displays
- Inspect fruits and vegetables for freshness and product quality
- Maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing produce displays
- Assist customers with produce selection and product recommendations
- Monitor proper storage, temperature control, and product rotation
- Handle and prepare produce using safe food handling procedures
- Support inventory management and product replenishment
- Set up promotional displays and seasonal produce features
- Operate department equipment and tools safely
- Support front-end operations and other store needs when necessary
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
What We’re Looking For
- Previous produce, grocery, retail, or food service experience preferred but not required
- Basic knowledge of fruits, vegetables, and produce handling techniques preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic math and reading skills
- Ability to follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible availability (days, evenings, weekends, holidays)
Work Environment
- Fast-paced grocery store produce department
- Exposure to coolers, misting systems, damp produce, and refrigerated areas
- Standing for extended periods; lifting up to 50 lbs
