Tarnished Truth Distilling Compnay inside Historic Cavalier Resort
Overview
Assists with customer service, merchandising, inventory control, and other related activities for Tarnished Truth Distilling Company’s small gift shop located within the Historic Cavalier Hotel. This position supports the day-to-day activities, routine stock management, customer service activities and provides input into policies and procedures. Works directly with management to ensure compliance of state and federal laws relating to distilled spirits sales within the gift shop.

Support team efforts through carrying out responsibilities in a constructive and professional manner.Other duties as assigned.Performs computerized cash register sales transactions and cash managementAssists with the development and implementation of policies, and procedures consistent with those of the organizationProvides sales coordination and performs direct sales and customer serviceMonitors sales through the cash register; resolves discrepancies, prepares, reconciles, and records cash receipts for deposit, and prepares sales reportsMonitors and coordinates ordering, receipt, and return of merchandise and/or equipment.Monitors general housekeeping cleanliness within the area; ensures that equipment and facilities remain in good repair, and that employee and customer safety standards are maintainedPerforms miscellaneous job-related duties as assignedPerforms all state and federal required reports for sales of Distilled spirits within the gift shopQualifications
Type QualificationExperience At least 2 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified ExperienceExperience Knowledge of mathematics, cash management principles and/or proceduresExperience Knowledge of customer service standards and proceduresExperience Knowledge of retail stock management and control principles and proceduresExperience Knowledge of retail floor sales techniques, retail advertising, sales promotion and/or visual merchandising techniquesSkill Ability to analyze and solve problems, ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety proceduresSkill Ability to summarize and reconcile retail sales and operating statistics, and to prepare routine statistical reportsSkill Ability to operate a computerized cash registerSkill Ability to foster a cooperative work environment and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Wage/Salary
$17.00 - $18.00 hour
