We are seeking a skilled Mill-Turn Machinist to set up and operate CNC mill-turn (multi-tasking) machines to produce high-quality, precision components. This position is ideal for a machinist with solid experience who can work independently, troubleshoot routine issues, and consistently meet quality and production standards.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC mill-turn / multitasking machines
- Install and align chucks, collets, fixtures, tooling, and live tools
- Load and qualify turning tools, milling cutters, drills, and probes
- Set work offsets, tool offsets, and basic probing routines
- Run and make minor edits to CNC programs (G-code or conversational)
- Perform combined turning and milling operations including:
- OD/ID turning, facing, grooving, and threading
- Live-tool milling, cross-drilling, and end-of-part machining
- Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and GD&T
- Inspect parts using precision measuring tools to ensure tolerances and finishes
- Make adjustments for tool wear and dimensional control
- Troubleshoot common machining, tooling, and setup issues
- Perform routine machine care and preventive maintenance
- Complete job travelers and inspection documentation
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
