    $7,500 Sign-On Bonus for eligible rehires and external candidates that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment. 

    This posting is for multiple openings of Child Life Specialist - Integrative Care at Covenant Children's Hospital in Lubbock, TX. We are hiring for the following opportunities:

    • Full Time, Day Shift, 40 hours a week

    ***Please note that this position is onsite and therefore requires the ability to commute to Covenant Children’s Hospital in Lubbock, TX.***

You’ll design therapeutic activities, support emotional well‑being, partner closely with an interdisciplinary care team, and champion family‑centered care—all while fostering a safe, expressive, and empowering environment.     Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Child Life, Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Family Studies, or a closely related field
    • Coursework/Training: Child Life specific clinical training experience (e.g., practicum and/or internship) in a pediatric medical setting
    • Coursework/Training: Trained in Child Development principles and impact of illness and hospitalization on children and families; application of therapeutic play, developmental education, and expressive modalities to address psychosocial needs of children and families
    • National Certified Child Life Specialist - Association of Child Life Professionals within 6 months (180 days) of hire

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • 1 year of experience working with young children and adolescents in a healthcare setting
    • Completion of at least 600 hours of clinical training supervised by a Certified Child Life Specialist

    Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position.  The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
