Environment Manager

You will join Group Prevention and Protection in a key role and report to the GPP Lead.
As Environmental Manager (ENV Manager), you are responsible for supporting and managing environmental compliance for Proximus’ domestic activities. You promote and ensure environmental responsibility among Group Proximus employees and assets. By proactively and reactively managing environmental risks, you help ensure a compliant working environment.

Responsibilities

• As a member of the GPP team, you actively contribute to the development and achievement of objectives and strategy, particularly with regard to environmental compliance.
• You support and help ensure environmental compliance within Proximus Domestic Activities, in line with applicable Belgian environmental legislation, permits, and standards (ESG standards).
• You manage and further develop environmental policy awareness and related training.
• You analyse, conduct research, and define action plans for environmental compliance, in consultation with various internal and external stakeholders.
• You act as the Proximus expert for the different areas of environmental compliance and manage all operating and environmental permits, asbestos files, environmental complaints, emissions files, and environmental declarations (packaging waste, soil certificates, Recupel, Valipack, Fost Plus, etc.).
• You maintain and continuously improve relationships with national and local authorities. You consult with the relevant parties to ensure successful outcomes, so that environmental compliance objectives and strategy can be achieved.
• You manage the Environmental Unit within GPP.
