Context
AI is reshaping how Proximus creates value for customers, employees and the company. Capturing its full potential requires more than deploying individual use cases: it requires identifying where AI can fundamentally reinvent end-to-end activities, processes and ways of working across Business Units.
Within Proximus’ federated AI Hub-and-Spoke model, the Transformational AI Manager acts as a senior opportunity shaper, business translator and delivery integrator. The role connects business needs, AI possibilities, stakeholders, dependencies and execution across organisational boundaries.
The main goal is to detect a limited number of high-impact, transversal transformation opportunities and turn them into structured, executable and outcome-oriented initiatives that deliver measurable and reusable value for Proximus.
Key responsibilities
Detect and shape high-impact transformational opportunities
- Proactively detect opportunities to increase impact through transversal, end-to-end re-engineering of activities, processes and ways of working across Proximus.
- Identify and prioritise a focused set of high-impact transformational opportunities where AI can create material value.
- Explore the end-to-end reality, uncover structural friction and untapped value, and translate fragmented business input into a clear transformation hypothesis.
- Turn selected opportunities into structured, executable and outcome-oriented initiatives with a clear scope, value case, success criteria, workstreams, ownership, dependencies, risks and decision points.
- Challenge solution-first thinking and ensure that business value, feasibility, responsible use, trade-offs and operational implications are addressed.
Lead a limited number of transformational programs
- Act as program manager for a deliberately limited portfolio of selected, cross-company AI transformations, taking end-to-end responsibility from shaping through coordinated execution.
- Build and drive an actionable roadmap covering milestones, workstreams, resources, owners, governance, dependencies, risks and escalation paths.
- Coordinate discovery, business-case development, prioritisation, proof of concept, MVP and subsequent delivery phases as appropriate.
- Maintain momentum, accountability and transparent reporting; prepare concise, decision-oriented recommendations for the relevant governance bodies.
- Keep expected outcomes and value hypotheses visible, adapt the approach as evidence evolves, and enable a sustainable transition to operational ownership.
Connect stakeholders, expertise and enabling conditions
- Align Business Units, AI Spokes, business owners, data and technology teams, governance bodies and enabling functions-often without direct hierarchical authority.
- Translate effectively between executive, business, operational, data, technology, risk and delivery perspectives.
- Facilitate decisions, clarify accountability and resolve ambiguity or conflicting priorities.
- Where required, orchestrate foundational enablement missions that remove recurring barriers and create reusable frameworks, assets or ways of working across Proximus.
