Job Summary
Responsible for coordinating and overseeing expedition logistics and processes within the Live Bird (LB) division to ensure efficient and timely delivery of products, while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Job Responsibilities:
* Plan, organize, and monitor the daily expedition schedule for Live Birds, ensuring optimal routes and resource allocation.
* Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., farm operations, sales) and external partners (e.g., transporters, customers) to ensure smooth and timely execution of deliveries.
* Supervise and guide expedition team members, including drivers and helpers, to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety regulations.
* Monitor vehicle maintenance schedules and ensure all vehicles are in good working condition and compliant with relevant regulations.
* Manage and resolve any issues or delays that may arise during the expedition process, communicating effectively with all stakeholders.
* Maintain accurate records of expedition activities, including dispatch logs, delivery reports, and incident reports.
* Implement and enforce biosecurity protocols and animal welfare standards during transport.
* Prepare regular reports on expedition performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant local and national transportation laws and regulations.
Job Qualifications:
* Minimum of a Bachelor (S1) in Logistics, Transportation Management, or a related field.
* Proven experience (at least 2-3 years) in logistics, expedition coordination, or supply chain management, preferably within the poultry or agribusiness sector.
* Strong understanding of transportation regulations and best practices.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
* Proficiency in using logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
* Ability to work under pressure and handle unforeseen circumstances.
* Possession of a valid driving license (SIM A or B) is an advantage.
* Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as required.
