    Overview

    The Senior Technical Business Systems Analyst plays a senior client-facing role in shaping, defining, and delivering complex cloud, data, analytics, and customer technology solutions for large enterprise clients. This role bridges business strategy, data architecture, and technical execution by leading discovery, requirements management, solution analysis, and delivery support across customer data platforms, cloud ecosystems, CRM, identity, personalization, AI/ML, and enterprise analytics initiatives.

    The individual serves as a trusted advisor to both business and technology partners, translating business objectives into scalable technical solutions while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, governance, security, and operational requirements.

    This role works closely with Solution Architects, Data Architects, Product Owners, Engineering, Data Science, Platform Operations, and Client Leadership to deliver measurable business outcomes through modern cloud and data platforms. The role is responsible for driving technical analysis, data requirements, integration design, and platform enablement across complex multi-workstream transformation programs.

    Responsibilities

    Client Delivery & Technical Solution Leadership

    • Lead discovery and requirements definition efforts, translating business objectives into detailed functional, technical, data, and integration requirements.
    • Act as the main liaison between business partners, architects, engineers, data scientists, and technology partners.
    • Partner with Solution Architects and Data Architects to define scalable cloud and data platform solutions.
    • Analyze current-state and future-state business capabilities, processes, systems, and data flows.
    • Facilitate requirements workshops, solution reviews, design sessions, and collaborator alignment meetings.
    • Develop and maintain business requirements, functional specifications, technical specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, integration specifications, and data definitions.
    • Evaluate platform capabilities and find opportunities for optimization, modernization, and automation.
    • Support architecture reviews and ensure business requirements align with enterprise technology standards.

    Data Platform Analysis & Engineering Enablement

    • Define business and technical requirements supporting enterprise data warehouse, lakehouse, and customer data platform implementations.
    • Create source-to-target mapping documentation and data transformation specifications.
    • Analyze data lineage, data quality, governance, and stewardship requirements.
    • Partner with Data Engineering teams supporting:
      • Databricks
      • Snowflake
      • AWS Data Platforms
      • Salesforce Data Cloud
      • Adobe Experience Platform
    • Define requirements for batch, near real-time, and real-time data processing solutions.
    • Support development of Customer 360, Identity Resolution, Personalization, and Analytics capabilities.
    • Collaborate with engineering teams on ETL/ELT workflows and data pipeline design.
    • Validate business rules, transformation logic, data models, and KPI calculations.

    Cloud & Enterprise Platform Consulting

    • Consult clients on cloud transformation strategies and modern data platform architectures.
    • Support evaluation and selection of cloud, data, CRM, CDP, and analytics technologies.
    • Develop business capability assessments and technology roadmaps.
    • Analyze platform utilization, scalability, performance, and operational readiness.
    • Support migration initiatives involving:
      • On-Premise to Cloud
      • CRM Modernization
      • Marketing Technology Modernization
      • Data Warehouse Modernization
    • Contribute to platform governance, operational models, and support strategies.

    Integration & API Analysis

    • Define requirements for system integrations across internal and external platforms.
    • Analyze APIs, interfaces, events, and data exchange requirements.
    • Produce integration specifications, interface documentation, and payload mapping documents.
    • Support systems designed around interfaces for software interaction.
    • Collaborate with architects and developers to resolve integration challenges and technical dependencies.

    AI, Analytics & Intelligent Applications

    • Define requirements supporting advanced analytics, machine learning, and computer-assisted capabilities.
    • Partner with Data Science teams to support:
      • Customer Segmentation
      • Customer Intelligence
      • Recommendation Engines
      • Synthetic Audience Modeling
    • Define KPIs, metrics, and reporting requirements supporting business outcomes.
    • Support model governance, explainability, and operationalization activities.

    Delivery & Program Execution

    • Drive Agile delivery practices including backlog refinement, sprint planning, dependency management, and release readiness.
    • Provide detailed requirements clarification to engineering teams throughout development cycles.
    • Support solution estimation and delivery planning activities.
    • Guide system integration testing, user acceptance testing, and production validation efforts.
    • Identify risks, dependencies, and implementation challenges across technology, process, and data layers.
    • Proactively recommend mitigation strategies and solution alternatives.

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications

    • Experience in business systems analysis, technical consulting, software delivery, or enterprise technology implementation.
    • Experience supporting cloud, data, analytics, CRM, or customer platform initiatives.
    • Demonstrable experience leading requirements and solution analysis efforts for enterprise-scale technology programs.
    • Deep understanding of modern cloud and data platform architectures.
    • Strong expertise in requirements management, business process analysis, and user documentation.
    • Advanced SQL and data analysis skills.
    • Experience coding in Python.
    • Experience creating:
      • User Stories, Functional Specifications, Technical Specifications, Data Mapping, Documents, Process Models, Integration Specifications, and Test Scenarios
    • Strong collaborator management and executive communication skills.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, Azure, or AWS.
    • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Campaign, Adobe Experience Platform, or similar enterprise platforms.
    • Knowledge of Customer Data Platforms (CDPs), Identity Resolution, and Customer 360 architectures.
    • Understanding of Data Mesh, Data Fabric, and Lakehouse architectural patterns.
    • Experience supporting healthcare, financial services, retail, telecommunications, or marketing technology clients.
    • Familiarity with data governance, security, compliance, and privacy frameworks.
    • Databricks, AWS, or comparable certifications.

    Compensation Range: USD $76,400.00 - USD $141,800.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
