    Job Title: Biomedical Scientist - Haematology and Blood Transfusion
    Banding: Band 6
    Location: Preston, Lancashire
    Start: ASAP
    Duration: Ongoing
    Rate: £25 - £27 Umbrella equivalent via Direct Engagement
    Working hours: Full-time

    We are seeking an exceptionally skilled and motivated Biomedical Scientist in Haematology and Blood Transfusion to join our esteemed client in Lancashire. This role requires working in a fast-paced and dynamic laboratory environment, where you will be responsible for executing a comprehensive range of haematology and blood transfusion tests and procedures. Your advanced expertise will be pivotal in ensuring the precision and reliability of test results, which are critical for accurate patient diagnosis and treatment.

    Key Responsibilities

    In this role, you will conduct a broad spectrum of haematology and blood transfusion tests, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, and ensure strict adherence to all relevant health and safety regulations. You will analyse and interpret complex test results with a high degree of accuracy, maintain meticulous records and documentation, and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver superior patient care. You must have experience with Sysmex XN and Biorad analysers.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • HCPC registration.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science or a related field.
    • Extensive experience in haematology and blood transfusion.
    • Experience with Sysmex XN and Biorad analysers.
