    Job description

    Job Title: Consultant in Adult Psychiatry
    Grade: Consultant
    Location: Bristol
    Working Hours: 40 hours per week
    Rate: Competitive, to be discussed upon application

    We are seeking a dedicated Consultant in Adult Psychiatry to work full-time for our private client based in Bristol. This locum opportunity is available for an immediate start.

    What will your responsibilities be?

    This role involves working across both inpatient and Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) settings, focusing on adult psychiatry. Key responsibilities include delivering high-quality psychiatric care, conducting comprehensive assessments, and formulating individualised treatment plans. The successful candidate must hold Section 12 approval and be an Approved Clinician. You will be expected to act as the Responsible Clinician (RC), participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, and ensure compliance with relevant mental health legislation and clinical standards.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Full GMC registration (essential)
    • Section 12 approval
    • Approved Clinician status
    • Experience in adult psychiatry across inpatient and community settings
    • Strong clinical and communication skills
