The service is located in a rural area and provides specialist care for individuals with learning disabilities, mental health needs, behaviors that challenge, or offending behaviors. The setting includes low secure beds and a newly opened locked rehabilitation service.

    What you’ll be doing

    • Undertaking routine clinical tasks and activities delegated to support patient dignity, wellbeing, and recovery.

    • Managing complex cases within learning disability psychiatry.

    • Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

    • Being supported by dedicated administrative staff and having access to flexible or remote working options.

    • Participating in the non-residential second on-call rota (low contact rate).

Further details can be found in the job description.

What you’ll bring to the role

    The ideal candidate will:

    • Hold a CCT or CESR in Psychiatry of Learning Disability.

    • Have Approved Clinician status.

    • Demonstrate strong leadership abilities and a compassionate, patient-centred approach.

    • Have experience managing complex clinical presentations in this population.

    • Understand recovery-focused care, positive risk-taking, and appropriate use of restrictive practices.

    • Be able to work collaboratively within a well-established MDT.

Informal enquiries can be made via the recruitment team.

What we will give you in return

You will be supported to grow and thrive in your role with ongoing career conversations, training, and clear pathways into leadership or advanced clinical positions.

    Benefits include:

    • Free on-site parking

    • Supplemented meals

    • 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays

    • Additional birthday leave

    • Enhanced maternity pay

    • Contributory pension scheme

    • Flexible benefits (gym membership, IT tech schemes, healthcare cash plan, etc.)

    • Access to development opportunities

    • Sponsorship for professional qualifications through an Individual Professional Development (IPD) panel

    • Leadership & management development

    • Long service awards
