    Job Overview

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Speech and Language Therapist (SALT) to join a specialist post-16 educational provision based in Uxbridge, London.

This community-based setting supports approximately 75 students aged 16 to 25 with a wide range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including complex learning difficulties and autism. The provision delivers a vocational curriculum focused on developing communication, independence, and employability skills. Students benefit from a combination of on-site learning and community-based opportunities, including work placements and partnerships with local organisations.

    Key Responsibilities

    In this role, you will:

    • Deliver specialist assessment and intervention for students with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN).
    • Develop and implement individualised therapy programmes aligned with students’ Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) outcomes.
    • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, support workers, and external professionals as part of a multidisciplinary team.
    • Support students in developing functional communication skills for everyday life, education, and employment.
    • Contribute to reviews, reports, and target setting in line with EHCP requirements.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation in accordance with professional standards.

    Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this role, you must have:

    • A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent).
    • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
    • Experience working with young people or adults with SEND, including autism and complex communication needs.
    • Strong understanding of EHCP processes and outcomes.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
    • A proactive and flexible approach to service delivery.
