Mobile Technical Architect, 8-14 years

Job Description

• Build and manage mobile engineering team and oversee solution architecture and development
• Define, develop and maintain the application architecture for specific mobile solutions
• Work with engineering teams to design the components/objects/data structure of various applications
• Analyze and estimate feasibility, costs, time and compatibility with hardware and other programs
• Write documentation to describe software infrastructure and maintain changes and corrections
• Take up project and design reviews to evaluate that the design being applied meets requirements, principles and standards
• Ensure that all components of the technical architecture are properly integrated and implemented
• Define development tools and environment
• Provide technical mentorship/leadership to the engineering team including new and evolving mobile platforms

Desired Skills

• 8-14 years of experience
• Programming mastery on at least 1 mobile platform (iOS, Android, Blackberry, Windows Mobile, Palm, J2ME etc)
• Expertise at architecting enterprise mobile solutions, both native and cross platform mobile applications
• Thorough knowledge on app distribution process, appstore submission and deployment
• Experience and knowledge of mobile platform architecture limitations with the expertise to overcome these technical challenges
• Experience on mobile backend services, web service APIs and networking protocols
• Experience architecting mobile solutions with multiple concurrent users across various mobile operating systems
• Strong mobile application design and development skills - object-oriented analysis and design techniques
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills; ability to create and advise on technical solutions for various projects
• Ability to effectively adapt and evolve to rapidly changing technology and apply it to business needs
• Project technical leadership capabilities, design and development oversight
