SAAS Technical Architect, 8-14 years

Job Description

• Build and manage technology team and oversee solution architecture and development
• Define, develop and maintain the application architecture for specific business functional areas
• Work with engineering teams to design the components/objects/data structure of various applications
• Analyze and estimate feasibility, costs, time and compatibility with hardware and other programs
• Write documentation to describe software infrastructure and maintain changes and corrections
• Take up project and design reviews to evaluate that the design being applied meets requirements, principles and standards
• Ensure that all components of the technical architecture are properly integrated and implemented
• Define development tools and environment
• Provide technical mentorship/leadership to the engineering team

Desired Skills

• Should have worked on at least 1 SAAS product as a Technical Architect or be involved in a large scale server side implementation as an Architect
• 8-14 years of experience
• Good knowledge on backend architectures like J2EE, LAMP and databases like MySQL, Oracle etc
• J2EE Enterprise Architecture certification is a big plus
• Experience architecting rapidly scaling multi-tier systems with expanding capacity without losing reliability
• Strong application design and development skills - object-oriented analysis and design techniques
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills; ability to create and advise on technical solutions for various projects
• Ability to effectively adapt and evolve to rapidly changing technology and apply it to business needs
• Project technical leadership capabilities, design and development oversight
