    Job Description & Summary

Some valuations are a calculation. The ones that shape a deal are a judgement; one that a board leans on when the price is contested, the asset is hard to compare, or the decision cannot be unwound. As a Deals Corporate Valuations Advisory (CVA) Senior Manager in either our Melbourne / Naarm or Sydney / Gadigal teams, you will lead robust business valuations and financial models on complex transactions and corporate decisions, then translate the numbers into advice. Our clients span private equity, infrastructure, real estate and corporate Australia, and they come to us at the moments where value is contested, uncertain or high stakes. Bring the technical depth and the commercial instinct, and we will keep stretching both.

    Why PwC?

At PwC Australia, your skills meet purpose. We tackle big challenges across industries like finance, technology, energy, and health—giving you the chance to make a real impact. Here, your growth is our priority. You’ll work with leading teams, explore new technologies, and unlock your full potential.

Join a global community of more than 370,000 people who value bold ideas, collaboration, and lasting change. Together, we’re building trust and shaping the future.

As a Deals CVA Senior Manager, you’ll blend technical skills with strategy to provide robust valuation advice to help clients model business values for complex transactions and strategic goals. Your expertise will guide and shape businesses toward confident decisions. A genuine career path means that growth here is planned, not incidental.

We have opportunities based in both Melbourne and Sydney.

    What you’ll do:

    • Lead complex valuation engagements across businesses, equity interests and financial instruments
    • Own and challenge financial reporting and tax valuations, including purchase price allocations, fair value measurement (Infrastructure and Private Equity), impairment testing and share‑based payments – ensuring robust, defensible outcomes
    • Advise senior stakeholders on corporate finance and M&A matters: cost of capital, capital structure optimisation, deal pricing and value assessment
    • Work alongside clients and deal teams to identify key value drivers, pressure test assumptions and support critical investment and divestment decisions
    • Generate portfolio value insights by analysing performance across investments and highlighting opportunities for growth, margin improvement and capital efficiency
    • Lead engagements end‑to‑end; from scoping and project management through to technical review and communication of findings, while maintaining strong, trusted client relationships
    • Coach and develop the team around you, building an inclusive environment where high-performers want to stay
    • Help grow our practice, bringing your commercial judgement and leadership to how we win and shape work

    What we’re looking for:

    • Experience in core business valuations, managing and delivering client engagements across diverse industries
    • Transaction-focused advisory experience: deal value assessment, cost of capital analysis and capital management
    • Strong market research, data analysis, financial modelling and project management skills, and deliverables a client can clearly understand
    • A consulting instinct to make complex conclusions land concisely, whether the audience is a CFO, an investment committee or an auditor
    • Integrity and a genuine care for colleagues and clients
    • Confidence with AI, digital tools and emerging technologies, and curiosity about where they improve the work
    • Building and maintaining lasting internal and client relationships
    • Relevant qualifications such as CA/CPA, CFA Finsia, MBA, Masters in Finance, Applied Finance, or similar

    What you’ll gain:

    • Leadership development programs and executive coaching designed to help you inspire teams and accelerate your career growth.
    • The opportunity to work with leading organisations and cutting-edge technology that challenge and expand your expertise.
    • A culture valuing diverse perspectives, empowering leaders to drive innovation and collaboration, learn more about our commitment to Inclusion and Diversity and First Nations Prosperity
    • A world-class parental leave policy offering up to 26 weeks of leave for caregivers, supporting your family and personal life.
    • Flexibility means trusting you to choose when, where, and how you work, balancing what’s best for you, your team, and your clients to grow and thrive together.
    • Being part of a community united by purpose, delivering impact that reaches clients, communities, and the future you’re shaping.
