    Job description

    Who is PX

PX operates an embedded marketplace that connects consumer demand with insurance carriers and agencies. We're growing our presence with independent and captive insurance agencies, and we're looking for someone to help lead that growth.

    About the Role

We're looking for a Director of Search & Display to own paid acquisition across search, display, and video — from strategy through execution, expansion, and optimization. You'll drive annual gross margin growth for your channel while operating with full ownership: building scalable systems, shaping creative direction within our brand standards, and partnering cross-functionally to lift lead conversion and overall marketplace performance. This is a role for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset who wants to fight for their channel's results and build something repeatable.

    What You'll Do

    Revenue Ownership

    • Own and achieve annual gross and net revenue targets for your channel(s)
    • Develop and execute channel expansion strategies to accelerate growth
    • Manage and optimize multiple traffic networks to maximize profitability
    • Communicate the resources and growth levers needed to hit performance goals

    Strategy & Performance Leadership

    • Lead strategy across search, display, and video acquisition
    • Develop the creative vision for the channel within company branding and quality standards
    • Continuously test, iterate, and optimize campaign structure, targeting, and creative
    • Drive consistent multi-vertical growth aligned with seasonality and long-term scaling goals
    • Maintain best-practices documentation to build repeatable systems

    Website & CRO Collaboration

    • Partner closely with the Website CRO team to improve lead conversion rates
    • Keep site vision aligned with traffic strategy
    • Provide performance insights that inform the landing page testing roadmap

    Compliance & Risk Management

    • Ensure campaigns and messaging stay compliant with regulatory and client requirements
    • Proactively monitor network and regulatory changes to mitigate risk
    • Keep documentation of best practices, learnings, and processes organized

    Team Leadership & Development

    • Coach, train, and develop the people on your team
    • Set clear accountability standards and performance expectations
    • Support your team's career growth and performance improvement

    Stakeholder Communication

    • Present progress toward goals clearly and concisely to leadership
    • Report on margin performance, testing velocity, and growth initiatives
    • Advocate for your channel and back your strategic decisions with data

    What You'll Bring

    Experience

    • 7+ years in performance/direct-response media, with meaningful time spent in lead generation specifically (not just brand or ecommerce)
    • A track record managing significant monthly media spend across search, display, and video
    • Expert-level, hands-on experience running campaigns in Google Ads, Microsoft Ads
    • Proven ability to manage multiple paid traffic networks simultaneously

    Lead Gen Expertise

    • Deep fluency in lead gen economics — CPL, CPA, lead-to-sale conversion, and how traffic quality translates to downstream margin, not just platform-reported ROAS
    • Takes an analytics driven approach and has fluency in data requirements to manage performance.
    • Preferably has operated in both home services and insurance lead generation verticals.
    • Working knowledge of TCPA, DNC, and other advertising compliance requirements relevant to lead gen

    Leadership & Communication

    • Strong leadership ability, with experience coaching and developing a team
    • An entrepreneurial mindset and a full ownership mentality
    • Excellent organizational and process skills, with a habit of documenting what works
    • Clear, confident communication with the ability to present performance to stakeholders

    How Success Is Measured

    • Achievement of annual net revenue targets
    • Consistent year-over-year multi-vertical growth
    • Expansion of channel capacity and scalability
    • Measurable performance growth and skill development of your direct reports

    Why Join Us

    • Join a collaborative, international team with strong growth ambitions
    • Opportunity to shape and influence culture and employee experience
    • Competitive Compensation Package: Recognizing and rewarding your impact.
    • Comprehensive Benefits: Health, vision, and dental insurance
