    Substance Abuse Counselor – CADC / LCAS | Full-Time

    📍 Asheville, NC
    💰 $52,000 – $58,000/year based on licensure and experience
    🕒 Full-Time | Day Shift | Monday–Friday

    Substance Abuse Counselor – Make an Impact in Recovery

    Pyramid Healthcare is hiring a Substance Abuse Counselor in Asheville, NC to provide clinical services to individuals receiving treatment for substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.

    This is a full-time day-shift position for a counselor who enjoys providing direct clinical care, building strong therapeutic relationships, and working as part of a collaborative treatment team.

    What You'll Do

    • Provide individual, group, and family counseling

    • Complete clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans

    • Provide substance use education, recovery support, and relapse prevention

    • Monitor client progress and update treatment plans as needed

    • Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation in the EHR

    • Participate in treatment team meetings and coordinate client care

    • Support aftercare planning and discharge planning

    • Communicate with referral sources, families, and other providers as appropriate

    • Assist with crisis intervention and level-of-care assessments

    • Maintain compliance with clinical, regulatory, and accreditation standards

    What You'll Need

    Required Licensure

    One of the following is required:

    • CADC-I

    • CADC

    • LCAS-A

    • LCAS

    Education

    • Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field preferred

    • Bachelor's, Associate's, or high school diploma may be considered based on applicable CADC/CADC-I credentials and experience

    Experience & Skills

    • Experience working with substance use disorders preferred

    • Experience with co-occurring mental health disorders or trauma-informed care preferred

    • Strong clinical documentation and organizational skills

    • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
