About our property:
Currently undergoing the most significant transformation in its nearly four-decade history, Signia Hilton Naples Grande Beach Resort is being reimagined through a comprehensive resort-wide renovation set to redefine the guest experience. Updates will introduce redesigned guest rooms and suites, vibrant culinary offerings, destination-inspired experiences, premium wellness amenities, dynamic social and gathering spaces that encourage guest connection, along with Signia Hilton's warm, anticipatory service.What you will have an opportunity to do:
The role is responsible for keeping guest rooms, public areas, and building systems in safe, functional, and attractive conditions. The work is typically broad, requiring skills in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance. 5 shifts per week, days can vary, either 8-4:30 or 3-11:30 with some flexibility needed from time to time on day and time. Position can include overnight shift.
Engineers play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of all mechanical, electrical, and structural systems within a hotel facility. You will help create a safe and comfortable environment for guests and staff, contributing to an exceptional guest experience.
Engineer Duties and Responsibilities
· Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems to ensure they are in working condition.
· Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency situations, such as power outages, plumbing leaks, and equipment failures, and take necessary actions to mitigate the impact on guests and staff.
· Equipment Monitoring: Monitor and maintain hotel equipment, including boilers, chillers, elevators, and fire safety systems, to ensure their reliability and safety.
· Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inspections, and work orders to track maintenance history and plan for future maintenance needs.
· Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulations, conduct regular safety inspections and address any identified hazards promptly.
· Training and Support: Provide training and guidance to hotel staff on safety procedures and equipment operation to promote a safe working environment.
What are we looking for?
· High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or vocational training in relevant fields preferred.
· Proven experience in hotel engineering, facility maintenance, or a related role.
· Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in emergency situations.
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Good communication skills for interacting with guests, staff, and vendors.
· Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
· Valid driver's license may be required, depending on the hotel's location.
